I think you’ll enjoy reading about food chains and food webs. This also ties in with our Rhode Island projects, as it gives a glimpse into ocean life! –Mrs. Neely

1.Plants need water, sunlight, and food,but not the food people eat.
2.A predtor is an animal that eats plants and some animals.
3.The Remora fish had the shark ,so the fish needed that shark.
4.The ferry spilled oil in the water. The otters’ fur got dirty.

2. A predator is an animal that lives by killing other animals.
3. Some animals help each other to not get hurt.
4. Oil from the ship can cause the food web to change, and the oil hurt the sea otters’ fur.

1. Plants need air, water, light from the sun, and space. Animals need air, water, shelter, and space.
2. A predator is an animal that hunts and eat other animals.
3. Sometimes animals keep other animals safe by protecting them from their pedators. A bird can eat a bug that can harm a rhino.
4. Oil spilled in the ocean can cause changes to a food web. The sea otters had fur, and oil got on it. The dirty fur caused the water to be dirty. When people cleaned the sea otters’ fur, they cleaned the water and made it safe.

2.Predators is an animal that hunts and eats other animals.
3.Animals protect each other by using each other as shelter and shield from predators. For example Cardinals fish live near sea urchins. The sea urchin’s spines stop other animals from eating the fish. Cardinal fish do not help or hurt the sea urchins.
4.Things that can cause changes to a food web are cause by people or weather.

For example, birds eat bugs that might hurt a rhino and sharks may scare predators away from remora fish. 4.People’s oil spills in the ocean can cause changes to a food web. The oil can hurt sea otters’ fur.

3. Some animals live together so that one animal can protect the other from predators, like the shark and the remora fish.
4. People can cause changes to the food web. The spill hurt the otters’ fur.

Secret Mission
1.Plants and animals need water, air and food.
2. A predator hunts and eats other animals.
3. Animals help each other get food. Sometimes animals keep each other safe. For example, a bird can eat bugs that might hurt a rhino.
4. Some changes are caused by people. Many things can change a food web. The effect from the oil spill was when the oil spilled from a ship which caused the sea otters’ fur to be hurt.

1. Plants and animals are both living things and need water, air, sunlight, and space.
2. A predator hunts and eats other animals.
3. Animals sometime keep each other safe by eating or scaring away animals or insects that might hurt the animals they are protecting. For example, a bird will eat bugs that might hurt the rhino. Or the ant helps the plant stay safe by biting any animal that tries to eat the plant.
4. An oil spill in the ocean can cause a food web to change. In the story, the sea otters’ fur was hurt by the oil that spilled into the ocean.
