Do Animals Have A Sixth Sense?

1.Volcanoes and earthquakes are alike because they both can destroy people and animals. They are different because volcanoes have lava coming out, but earthquakes make the ground shake.

2.Dogs can dig in the ground and feel the temperature to know when something is coming.

3.Some words that can relate to volcanoes are lava, chimney, cone, and magma chamber.

4.Mongolia is north of China, and India is east of China.

The title of the story I read was Whales and Other Animal Wonders.

2. It's hard for whales to see underwater. Human activities also affect this, and many people think sonar can affect whales.

3. Echo and location. You can easily tell that they mean (the location of an echo.)

4. There are three baleen whales named.

The Title of the story I read is Earth Movement.

2.Yes,tiltmeters are tools that measure changes of the Earth's surface.

3.Fault can also mean an error in software,or a defect or imperfection.

4. Those pictures helped me understand by showing its form and how it works.

The story I read was Mountan St.Helens.

2.The story first mentioned the bulge on page six. It describe the pressure from the lava inside the volcano causing a buldge.

3. When I got caught in the rain, I began to tremble.

4.The map showed that the cascades go on for hundreds of miles. They cover a lot of land.

The title of the story I read was A day With the Dogs.

2. They wrapped him in a warm towel and rubbed him. They examined him and found a microchip that helped him locate his owner.

3.She was excited about getting the puppy back to its owner.

4. It was one of the way the shelter uses to reunite animals with their ownerS when they get seperated.Without the chip, they may have never found the dog.

Some people teach gorillas and chimpanziies sign language. One reason is because of the noises of the ships. One is seeing, and another is clicking. I know that, because it told me on the page.Three Baleen Whales are on the page.

1. 1/2 of our trash is thrown in landfills. 25% is recycled.
2. Collectors wash and chop the plastc into flakes. The flakes are dried, melted, and forced through screens to remove toxins and form new plastic strands. The strands are cooled and chopped into pellets.

3.The glass is broken into small pieces called cullet.
4.Recycling helps reduce the amount of new natural resources needed to make new items. Recycling reduces the amount of trash taken to landfills, which help conserve the land.
5.Both paper and aluminum are taken to recycling centers and put into bales. The aluminum is shredded and melted, while the paper is soaked in water and chemicals. They are both mixed with new aluminum or paper to make new products. Unlike aluminum, paper cannot be recycled again and again.

I read "Earth's Natural Resources."
1. Trees are renewable, because you can plant more trees.
2. Coal and oil nonrenewable resources, because when we use them up, they are gone forever.
3. Some things that can be recycled are paper, glass, plastic, and cans.

You Can Recycle

1) Our country produces 210 million tons of trash each year and recycles more than 25 percent of that.
2) Collectors wash and chop the plastc into flakes. The flakes are dried, melted, and forced through screens to remove toxins and form new plastic strands. The strands are cooled and chopped into pellets.
3) Cullets are small broken pieces of glass used to make more glass.
4) Recycling helps reduce the amount of new natural resources needed to make new items. Recycling reduces the amount of trash taken to landfills, which help conserve the land.
5) Both paper and aluminum are taken to recycling centers and put into bales. The aluminum is shredded and melted, while the paper is soaked in water and chemicals. They are both mixed with new aluminum or paper to make new products. Unlike aluminum, paper cannot be recycled again and again.
